Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born 19th August, 1965 is an American actress. She is most famous for playing the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the seventh season Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother, who was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
